Job Description
This position reports to the A&L Development Team – the Senior Development Director, the Development Directors, the Marketing & Communications Production Specialist and the Development Analyst.
The main goal of this position is to assist the Team in building donor relations from a clerical and administrative standpoint. This includes office duties i.e. researching potential donors, photocopying, filing, sorting, mail merging, mass mailings, data entry, event or reception invitations, donor tracking, and daily duties as assigned by the Development Team. This also means maintaining an inventory of supplies used for the reception – i.e. banners, promotional materials, tablecloths, wines and party supplies.
This position requires occasional attendance at donor cultivation events on select evenings and weekends at off-campus events (you will be given reasonable notice before such events). This position also requires excellent verbal and written communications skills, ability to organize and prioritize work, and ability to work independently with little supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Database software is preferred. Events experience desired. Able to lift at least 10 pounds.
