One of our local industry contacts is looking for a cost accountant, a position available either as an internship or as full-time employment. The candidate needs to be a U.S. citizen.

The company is based in Goleta, so an eventual internship may be compatible with school commitments for interested UCSB undergraduates/graduates.

Cost Accountant Intern or Cost Accountant I: LaunchPoint Technologies Inc. (www.launchpnt.com) is a technology incubator currently engaged in propulsion for electric flight. The company has a need to track costs in R&D projects with variable scope and in collaboration with partner companies. We are seeking a Cost Accountant Intern or an entry level Cost Accountant to use the MS Dynamics SL accounting system, Excel, interface with engineers who like spending money, and customers who don’t. A person with a passion for organization is needed. There are opportunities for growth and to participate in executive activities such as contract structuring to manage risk, business relationship management, and project management.
