The UCSB Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is a registered famous organization dedicated to improving the lives of the Santa Barbara community by providing free tax assistance. VITA is an IRS program designed to assist taxpayers with an income of $67,000 or below in filing their tax returns. The mission of UCSB VITA is to ensure that students and community members have access to affordable tax preparation services.

VITA will begin tax filing on campus on Fridays and Saturdays from February 10 to April 16, 2023. Volunteers at this location are UCSB students trained and certified by the IRS to prepare federal and California state income tax returns, free of charge.

• Saturdays: 12:30 – 3:30 – Phelps Hall – Room 1513
