This Saturday, January 28th at Mosher Alumni House, we’ll be hosting our 2023 Winter Leadership Conference featuring workshops in Business, Finance, Entertainment, Digital Marketing, and Management. Our speakers include: 

Kirk Strovesand – While still in college, Kirk Strovesand started working for the company which grew into Walpole & Co., LLP, later becoming a partner. Among his accomplishments, Kirk earned a BA in Business Economics from UCSB, a Masters in Taxation from Golden Gate University and a Master Certificate in Global Business Management from George Washington University. Kirk is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner and a Personal Financial Specialist. Kirk’s interest in financial planning as well as financial issues his clients were facing was a main driver in the creation of Walpole Financial Advisors, LLC.

Ben May – Principal and Managing member of Fresh Interactive and Fuel Marketing, Ben May has nearly 20 years of digital marketing experience at some of the largest advertising agencies in Southern California. He has worked with a varied group of clients over his tenure, from Fortune 100 companies such as Disney and Honda, to various food, tech, tourism, and manufacturing companies. In addition to his client strategy and leadership experience, Ben has extensive experience in data analysis. His agency has remained a Google Premier Partner for over 10 years, putting it within the top 3% of agencies.

Greg Loosevelt – During his career, Greg Loosevelt has secured financing, started, sold, and advised start-ups. He’s spent most of his career as a financial analyst and CEO, with responsibilities ranging from strategist, portfolio manager, and preparing financial statements and audits. His CEO experience includes three companies in the following areas: software, alternative energy, and medical services. After a successful 22-year career managing a private equity fund and starting and selling a 1000 person consulting firm, he worked with a non-profit to address environmental issues with sustainable technologies.

Dante di Loreto – Dante Di Loreto serves as Fremantle’s North American President of Scripted Entertainment. In this role, he oversees the company’s scripted slate. Dante has produced for television, film, and Broadway, with a repertoire of international hit dramas, including GLEE, AMERICAN HORROR STORY, and Katori Hall’ s P-VALLEY for Starz. Television produced by Di Loreto has secured over 120 Emmy® nominations and 31 wins.

Michelle Carlen – Carlen is the Founder and President of Alignment Advising. She’s worked with hundreds of clients including organization executives, business owners, entrepreneurs, employees, and job seekers. Bringing enthusiasm, collaboration, and a real-world approach to organizational and professional career development, she focuses on practical techniques that produce direct results, common sense and sustainable strategies, and impactful workplace habits and procedures that infuses positive workplace cultures.

The event will be a great opportunity to network with other students, learn from some industry leaders, and practice professionalism. Morning coffee with Mexican sweet bread, snacks, and lunch in the afternoon will be offered.
