Hello Gauchos! Learn more about finance and wealth management this Friday as we welcome John McGovern, Managing Director in Wealth Management for UBS. John graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a degree in Economics, and he will be here to speak to us about his experience and answer all your questions!
John began his career with Security Pacific Bank. He entered the brokerage business with E.F Hutton and transferred to UBS in 1990. His investment strategy lies in strong total return stocks with an anticipated growing and consistent dividend, which will equate to increasing income and total return. John has his Series 3,7,63, 65 and insurance licenses.
John is an active member of the community, serving on the Board of Trustees for Crane Country Day School. He is also a lecturer at the University of California Santa Barbara; he teaches a class on Investment Strategies where he introduces college students to the stock market.
