Our top priority continues to be the health and well-being of our people, clients, and for our candidates interested in opportunities at Moss Adams. During this unparalleled time, we’re closely monitoring the situation as it evolves so we can provide you with up-to-date guidance and support to help combat uncertainty. On mossadams.com, you’ll find our COVID-19 content hub, with regulatory updates, strategies to help cope with subsequent risk, and other guidance to help navigate the potential economic effects of the pandemic. We’re navigating these uncertain times together. While Moss Adams is not immune to the current economic climate, our Firm’s leadership has developed a balanced and deliberate approach to how we best respond to the current environment.  We have a plan to guide us through the coming months. Please reach out if you have specific questions related to the impacts of COVID-19 or our company.

SUMMER INTERN PROGRAM

We have made the difficult decision to revise our summer internship experience. We have already notified all incoming summer interns of this change and will provide regular updates leading up to their start date. We would like to share the details with you, below:

·        The internship has been changed to a two-week virtual learning and development experience commencing Monday, July 20th and ending July 31st, 2020.

·        We will be asking the interns to be available each weekday during the two-week period from 8am to 5pm PT.

·        Interns will be paid for 80 total hours of work, at the stated hourly rate in their original internship offer letter.

·        This re-imagined internship experience will include sessions and project work focused on enhancing leadership skills, exposure to our unique client base and work, and upskilling advanced technology.

·        Interns will need their own laptop and internet access to participate in this online internship.

MESSAGING TO NEW HIRES

We are working closely with firm leadership to assess any potential impacts to 2020 full-time start dates, onboarding/training, etc. and will notify our incoming staff as soon as any additional information becomes available.

SPRING RECRUITING – 2021 INTERNS

Full steam ahead! We’re happy to report that we’re continuing with spring recruitment and the search for 2021 intern candidates. In light of COVID-19, we made the shift from in-person to virtual interviews and events at a moment’s notice and all is going well. Offers are being extended across the Firm (in line with university guidelines). We’re planning to host one, firm-wide virtual program in mid-late May for all students who’ve received 2021 internship offers.

GRADING SYSTEM – SPRING TERM

We recognize the unusual and unprecedented challenges faced by universities and students at this time. The move to online / remote classes has created new questions and concerns over how to grade this semester. Where our preference has been for letter grades, we would defer to you / the university to determine the best course of action for your students. We will take this into account to ensure fair evaluation of students for employment opportunities in the future.

We look forward to keeping in touch this spring.  We are here for you anytime you need us.

Thank you,

Leanne
