The Santa Barbara County Auditor-Controller is seeking to fill Financial Office Professional – Intern positions within its Financial Accounting and Customer Support (FACS) Division. We are seeking interns with a sophomore or junior class standing that are pursuing a degree in Economics and Accounting and are interested in governmental work.  Ideal candidates are highly motivated and detail oriented, with exceptional communication skills.

This is a paid, part-time position, requiring a commitment of 15-20 hours a week, at a pay rate of $15.92/hour. Interns are expected to work on an ongoing basis throughout the school year, as well as during the summer. Hours are flexible, where interns can work with their supervisor to set their own schedules within an 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. work day.

This ten-week program will expose interns to the day-to-day activities of the Investment Analytics & Data group. Investment Analytics & Data, a subset of the Research group, is a core member of the Investments team. Key responsibilities of the group include acquiring, managing, creating, and distributing quality data and analysis to the portfolio management and sales processes.
