A group of leading graduate business schools from the United Kingdom will be on campus to provide information about their programs. The business schools offer 1-year, specialized master’s degrees for college graduates in subjects such as management, finance, marketing, innovation/entrepreneurship, big data, and human resources. These graduate programs are perfect for college juniors and seniors to consider as they seek to bolster their qualifications with a master’s degree while engaging in a cultural experience overseas.

The schools taking part are: University of Edinburgh, University of Leeds, University of Manchester, and Newcastle University. Each of these universities belongs to the prestigious ‘Russell Group’ of schools (the UK’s equivalent to the Ivy League). In addition, the business schools are all triple-accredited – a qualification that is obtained by less than 1% of business schools around the world.

Japan Exchange and Teaching Program (JET)

The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program is a Japanese government-sponsored program that brings people from around the world to live and work in Japan for 1 to 5 years. Most participants are Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) working in public school classrooms across Japan to teach English and share their cultures with local students. Others participate as Coordinators of International Relations translating and planning events in local government offices.

While a bachelor’s degree is required to participate, anyone planning to graduate the following spring, with any major, is welcome to apply. Even if graduation is not directly on the horizon, this session is a great chance to learn about the program and get a head start on the application process.
