Entry-Level Full-Time Accountant-Auditor I
positions in downtown Santa Barbara.

Salary: $25.47 – $31.09 Hour; $53,148.51 – $64,886.47 Annually (plus a $6,149 annual cash benefit allowance)

The County of Santa Barbara Auditor-Controller’s Office is looking for strong candidates for our New Auditor Training and Development Program. New hires will perform financial accounting, auditing and operational duties in an environment that fosters creativity, challenges you to excel, and enables you to make a difference.

These full time Santa Barbara positions will offer new hires the ability to develop their accounting and auditing skills without the long hours and travel requirements that are typical of a large accounting firm.

Our New Auditor Training and Development Program provides work experience to qualify you for your general CPA license. We cover 75% of the cost of CPA review courses and provide time off for the exam. A 5% stipend is also offered for CPA certification.

Successful candidates will have a four-year degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent education. Applicants who are currently in their final year of study leading to the required degree are encouraged to apply. Such applicants may compete selection process but may not begin employment in a position until they have attained the required degree.
