The California Board of Accountancy (CBA) requires that your degree be posted on your transcript and sent to them before a student can register for an exam. This process can take up to 6 weeks, so it is imperative that you follow these instructions via the GOLD system to expedite the processing of your transcript:
- Students should log-in to GOLD and place a transcript order
- Select “US Mail (Rush Processing)” as the delivery method
- Address to:
California Board of Accountancy
2000 Evergreen Street, Suite 250
Sacramento, CA 95815-3832
- In the “Hold Transcript Request” section, request that the transcript be held until your degree objective has been evaluated and finalized by choosing your degree objective (e.g. BS, BA, MA, etc.) from the drop-down menu. The drop down will only display degree objectives that are currently active on your record, select the program that you want verified on the transcript. This will hold the sending of the transcript until the designated degree has been awarded and will show on the transcript.
- On the order confirmation screen, verify that the address is correct, that the Hold and Rush Processing fields both display a ‘Y’ value, and that there is a note above the submission button stating that “Transcript(s) will be held until my degree objective of: <BA, MA, PhD, etc.>”.
