UCSB Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is having its first general meeting this quarter tonight (11/18) from 7-8 pm at the MCC Theater!

VITA is a non-profit organization that offers free preparation of personal income tax returns for students, scholars, and low income families who earn less than $53,000 a year. We are dedicated student volunteers who are interested in giving back to the communities and simultaneously gaining hands-on experience. This is a great opportunity to build your resume, learn more about tax, and network with other volunteers as well as guest speakers. If you are in the honors program, this is also a good way to receive community service hours.

Please come out to our general meeting tonight and learn more about what we do and what the club can provide you! Food will be provided, and all majors are welcome. We hope to see you there!”
