PwC is excited to invite you to consider participating in one of our upcoming programs: Leadership Adventure, eXplore and the Semester of Discovery Internship. Each program is outlined below along with application instructions.
PwC will be on campus on Monday, February 6 and Wednesday, February 8 promoting these programs during PwC Personal Brand week. Please stop by and say hi, or feel free to ask questions.
DATE AND TIME: Monday, February 6th from 12:00 – 3:00 PM
LOCATION: Flying A Studios (located on the main level of UCenn)
DATE AND TIME: Wednesday, February 8th from 2:00 – 5:00 PM
LOCATION: SB Mission (located on the main level of UCenn)

PwC’s Leadership Adventure is a selective program for high achieving college students interested in starting a fast paced career in the public accounting profession. Participants will embark on a journey of self-discovery with PwC staff and students from around the country. During this experience, you will discover your leadership style and gain critical insights to develop your skills to become a leader in today’s professional world. Be prepared to stretch your imagination and challenge yourself to build your capacity and proficiency as a leader.

This summer, we will be hosting a national program and market program (in various cities across the country). Applicants will initially be considered for both leadership opportunities. During the on-campus interview process, the recruiter will discuss with you which program may be more appropriate, based upon your qualifications and summer schedule.
Qualifications
Student should have demonstrated leadership capabilities and preferably be a sophomore in a four-year degree program or a junior in a five-year degree program. The program is not open to prior or current PwC interns.
DEGREE SEEKING: Bachelor’s, Master’s
MAJOR or Minor: Accounting (CPA eligible).
Some Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems and Computer Science majors may also be considered.
GPA: 3.2 or higher cumulative GPA
EXPECTED GRADUATION DATE: 12/2013 thru 8/2014

PwC’s eXplore program is an opportunity you can’t miss. We are seeking students who are looking for further information on careers in business and accounting.If selected, PwC will sponsor your attendance in our one-day program comprised of interactive activities and training sessions aimed at developing teamwork, strategic thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Not only will participation help cultivate these important characteristics, but also it will provide a great networking forum with other students and individuals from PwC. The eXplore program is an outstanding opportunity to learn more about the accounting profession and to discover their career goals and aspirations, all while having a lot of fun.

Student should have a curiosity about accounting and be either a freshman, sophomore, or junior of any major. The program is not open to prior or current PwC interns.

The Semester of Discovery Internship (SDI) is a unique program designed to expose high-performing diverse college students to our firm. As an SDI intern, you will have the opportunity to further your professional and technical development skills in the appropriate business related areas while working with teams in different functional areas across PwC. This opportunity will allow you to learn about our firm while further developing the skills necessary for success in the business world.
The Semester of Discovery Internship will enable you to:
- Utilize your problem solving, analytical, research and organizational skills to understand our business and complete real life projects focused on knowledge management, serving our clients, and internal firm services initiatives that support PwC’s business development
- Gain exposure to our partners, principals and staff through networking events, social media, and formal and informal shadowing opportunities
- Live corporate responsibility as you participate in community service projects
- Participate in professional development opportunities focused on topics such as personal brand, building relationships, developing a business perspective, and engaging in continuous coaching and development with the assistance of a team of mentors
- Participate in technical development exercises focused on knowledge management, research, preparing for an engagement, and conducting a PwC audit
The Semester of Discovery Internship is just the first step in PwC’s Internship Experience. After successful completion, you will have the opportunity to complete a client service internship in one of our three service lines: Assurance, Tax, or Advisory.
Qualifications
Diverse student should be a freshman or sophomore in a four-year degree program (a sophomore or junior in a five-year degree program) with a GPA of 3.3 or above.
DEGREE SEEKING: Bachelor’s, Master’s
MAJOR or Minor: Accounting/Business Administration/Economics (CPA eligible)
Some Finance, Information Systems and Computer Science majors may also be considered.
GPA: 3.3 or higher cumulative GPA
