The Finance Connection and Investment Advisory Committee will be bringing Kevin Shultz, a UCSB alumnus and investment banking professional to UCSB TOMORROW at 6:30pm in IV Theater 2. Kevin Shultz is a senior managing director in the FTI Corporate Finance practice and is based in Los Angeles. Mr. Shultz will be covering topics within the investment banking industry and future opportunities with FTI Consulting. The Finance Connection and IAC will also be providing sandwiches from IV Deli at the event, so come hungry!

Mr. Shultz is a senior professional in the firm’s wholly-owned investment banking subsidiary, FTI Capital Advisors, where he directs the investment bank’s special situations practice. He graduated from UCSB with a B.A. in Economics, summa cum laude, and holds an M.B.A from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. While he began his career with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, Mr. Shultz has expanded his expertise into capital raising and restructuring advisory, and has completed investment banking transactions with an aggregate value in excess of several billion dollars. Some of Mr. Shultz’s many accomplishments include being named one of Southern California’s top 25 dealmakers by the Los Angeles Business Journal, the 2008 Deal of the Year by the M&A Advisor, and the 2007 Deal of the Year honors.
