Call for future Worldhealers:
Although we are unable to meet on campus, UCSB’s Global Awareness Club, affiliated with Worldhealer, Inc. – a 501(3)c nonprofit – is providing a remote club experience and volunteer opportunities for UCSB students.
We are currently looking for people like you to join our Fund Development Committee! The Fund Development Committee works to write grant proposals, obtain funding for the organization, and budget projects. Worldhealer’s Fund Development committee helps you build skills such as: community outreach, teamwork, professional writing, crowd-sourcing, donor and community engagement, and fundraising events! This committee is the perfect work experience for those looking to go into any profession in which writing and networking are crucial. As a leadership program, Worldhealer aims to assist college-aged students build not only their resume, but also their professional skills.
Members of Worldhealer’s Global Awareness Club participate in our Global Awareness Program and our Emerging Leaders Program. Students have the opportunity to promote global awareness and the value of diversity to K-12 students through interactive zoom workshops weekly. Through these workshops, we hope to raise awareness of other cultures, traditions, and important global issues. This past year we have presented workshops on social justice issues and current events, such as police brutality, colorism, and gender equality. While making a difference, you’ll also develop professional skills and build your resume by learning how to run the club as a business.
Participants are truly the backbone of our program as they run every aspect of the club and organization, along with every single workshop. They are in turn given the freedom to shape the program to current political, social, and cultural events in the world, and consequently learn how to be a part of a company by running the academic, fundraising, and communications aspects of the entire nonprofit organization.
