JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title Intern – Internal Audit Services
Job Description  

 

Life Technologies is seeking a Summer Intern – Internal Auditor Services for a role in the Carlsbad, CA headquarters.

Position Objective
Supporting the objectives of the Internal Audit organization, and ensure expectations of the Audit Committee of the LIFE Technologies Board of Directors and other stakeholders are exceeded.

Essential Functions
Completion of at least three internal audit projects during the months from June through August – auditing areas of Ion Torrent, Grand Island Integrated Site, or other process review.

Conduct interviews, review documents, administer surveys, and prepare work papers.  Identify creative solutions and recommendations for identified risk areas.

Develop and maintain productive client and team relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.

Education and Certification(s)
Requires enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Economics, or an equivalent field, from an accredited college or university.

 

 

Mandatory Requirements

 

Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and passport; be able to travel for extended periods up to three weeks outside the Sate of California and or the United States of America.

 

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite software.
