RE: Eureka Capital Investment Banking Alumni Presentation & Internship Opportunity

Hello Everyone,

Eureka Capital Partners, a regional boutique investment bank, will be presenting next Tuesday, March 1st, in IV Theater 2 starting at 6:30 PM.

Michael Harden and Phillip Chou from Eureka will discuss the investment banking industry and the firm’s summer analyst internship program (open to UCSB students). Eureka provides M&A, capital raising, ESOPs, valuation & fairness, financial restructuring, and merchant banking services through its’ Newport Beach and New York offices (www.eurekacap.com).

Michael Harden, a Managing Director and UCSB alumni, began his investment banking career at Credit Suisse First Boston in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York. Prior to Credit Suisse First Boston, he spent time as an associate at Arthur Anderson and Coopers & Lybrand. Before joining Eureka, Michael was a Managing Director at BCC Capital Partners in Newport Beach. Mike graduated from UCSB with a B.A. in Business Economics with an emphasis in Accounting, and holds a CFA and CPA designation.

Prior to joining Eureka as an Executive Director, Phillip Chou worked closely with Michael at BCC Capital Partners as a Vice President. Additionally, Phillip has spent time working as a Portfolio Analyst for Far East National Bank, an Associate for Pacific Century Cyberworks, and as an Analyst for Ballenger, Clevland & Issa. He received his B.A. in Economics from UC Berkeley, an M.B.A. from The Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine, and holds a CFA designation.
